The group’s big break came in 2010 when Foster’s song went viral. became a huge commercial crossover hit the following year, reaching No.3 on the

Hot 100. It featured on Foster the People’s debut album and led to the group scoring three Grammy Award nomination­s.

In July this year Foster the People released — the band’s first release since guitarist Sean Cimino and longtime touring keyboardis­t Isom Innis became fully fledged members. Leaving the organic, acoustic sound

“I would say that the last three or four months is the best we’ve ever been live,” he said.

“I feel like we’ve been clicking on a level that I’ve been working towards since we started the band.

“In the last few months there’s just something happening, it feels really special. We can go places musically and not have to look at each other or cue each other, we’re just instinctiv­ely following.
