Man caught after weeks on the run

AN alleged burglar on the run from police for several weeks has been arrested in Hobart.

The 26-year-old from Risdon Vale was taken into custody at a Cambridge property yesterday by officers supported by a Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

He was due to appear in court last night charged with stealing a car, evading police, driving while disqualified, aggravated burglary and beaching bail.

Another 26-year-old man fled the property before being arrested and charged over an unrelated offence.
