Craft-beer bliss in the park
MOFO isn’t the only bigticket event in Launceston this weekend, with thousands of thirsty ale aficionados set to wet their whistle at today’s Esk BeerFest.
Moving to a new venue at Royal Park this year, Esk BeerFest offers the opportunity to try some of the country’s best artisan craft beers and ciders, with more than 40 fine food and drink stalls to sample.
As well as a range of masterclasses, demonstrations and discussions, there’ll also be plenty of non-beer entertainment, including live music from the likes of Ash Grunwald, Yolanda Be Cool and Kid Kenobi, and stand-up comedy by Dave Thornton and others.
Esk BeerFest will be held in Launceston’s Royal Park from 2-10pm today.
Tickets are $25, for bookings and more details go to www.beerfestivals.com.au
Hobart hop-heads don’t have to wait for their own taste of the action, with Hobart BeerFest to be held at Princes Wharf 1 on February 17.
