Socceroos may miss Arnold

-

IF Football Federation Australia wants Graham Arnold to be the next Socceroos coach, it had better move fast, with the successful Sydney FC coach revealing that suitors are lining up for his services.

Speaking yesterday at his press conference ahead of Sydney FC’s clash with Adelaide tomorrow, Arnold confirmed an offer from New Zealand Football to become their national team coach and said the Kiwis had plenty of company when it came to interest in his services.

“I’ve had a fair bit of interest around the world,” Arnold said. “I’m like a player, players that are doing well and have success get interest and I’m no different. When you are winning and you get success you get a lot of interest.”

It’s believed New Zealand, who missed out on qualifying for this year’s World Cup in Russia, would be happy for Arnold to coach the team in conjunction with his duties at Sydney.

With the World Cup just five months away, the FFA has yet to replace former Socceroos coach Ange Postecoglou following his resignation in November.
