Descendants of Hannaway & Nash: Attention descendants of Second Fleet convict Ann Hannaway and her convict partner Robert Nash. This couple moved from Norfolk Island to Tasmania in 1808. Historian Michael Flynn cites stories passed down by Ann to her daughter Sarah, recounted through successive generations. I am a postgraduate research student and my thesis involves the women of the Second Fleet vessel Neptune and their transition from the status of convict to settler.
