Background check

FOR more than 50 years, in various states, I have been begging those who elect and pay politicians to demand the media publish the resume of all candidates, including sitting members. We know nothing about most candidates, a great percentage of whom have a law degree. I know that in my long employment history I always had to supply a resume. Political careers are highly paid, so we need to know their qualifications, education and work history. Instead we vote for people we do not know a thing about. How crazy are we? Name three politicians where you know anything about their background. IN the David Foster ad for pokies in clubs and pubs, he says he spends a lot of time in these premises. One would ask, why? I like a go on the pokies. The lobbies and the Liberals say they have a solution to problem gambling. What solution? This to me is not a number one election issue, problem gamblers need help from the system that has created this. They should be registered and issued with a card capping their limit to gamble or banned altogether and this should be policed, but this will not happen because pubs and clubs want their money.

Stick to federal scene

WHY doesn’t Andrew Wilkie keep his nose out of state politics. It’s bad enough having to put up with his ranting on federal politics without him getting involved in the state political scene. It’s excruciating enough putting up with the Greens, let alone him as well.
