ready to crack open another bottle — the Hot Dub Wine Machine is coming back to the Huon this weekend, and it’s gonna be a real corker.

Hot Dub Wine Machine is the brainchild of, and is headlined by, the “world’s first time-travelling DJ”, Hot Dub Time Machine.

Hot Dub (aka Sydney DJ Tom Loud) plays 60-odd years’ worth of hit songs in chronological order, mixing and mashing audio and visuals live from vinyl turntables.

His show has sold out around the globe, and got the masses moving at festivals such as Coachella, Reading and Leeds, T in the Park, Splendour in the Grass and the Falls Festival.

Before he takes to the stage at 9.30pm, Hot Dub Wine Machine will also feature performances by:

Chart-topping Sydney duo Sneaky Sound System (Miss Connie and Black Angus), who won Breakthrough Artist and Best Dance Release at the 2007 ARIA Awards, thanks to their massive hit singles UFO, Pictures and I Love It — which were all taken from their multi-platinum self-titled debut album.

More dance-floor slayers have followed since, including Kansas City,

When We Were Young, No.1 UK club smash It’s Not My Problem, and a collaboration with Dutch superstar DJ Tiesto, I Will Be Here. In-demand Sydney producer and DJ Touch Sensitive, who burst on to the scene in 2013 with his cult hit Pizza Guy.

Renowned for his impeccable musical taste, Touch Sensitive collaborated with Flume, remixed Rufus and toured with Flight Facilities, before releasing his long-awaited debut album

Visions — featuring the single Lay Down — in September last year.

Adelaide producer Luke Million, whose 2011 cult classic Arnold polled in Triple J’s Hottest 100 and has now racked up more than 2.2 million views on YouTube.

Million’s trademark mix of electronic funk and euro-disco can be heard on singles such as Midnight, Light and

Sound, Fear The Night and Archetype, and in his remixes for artists including Tkay Maidza, Porsches, Young Franco, Ou Est Le Swimming Pool and The Swiss.

Melbourne singer Owl Eyes (Brooke Addamo), who came to national attention in 2008 when she made the finals of Australian Idol. She went on to release the EPs Faces (2010), Raiders (2011) and

Crystalised (2012), and feature on Illy’s hit single It Can Wait, before putting out her debut album Nightswim in 2013. Since then she has been best known for her work with Sydney electro duo Flight Facilities.

Sydney DJ and Triple J radio presenter Luen Jacobs, who has rocked crowds at big-time festivals such as Groovin The Moo, Splendour in the Grass, Strawberry Fields, Secret Garden and Dark Mofo.

She has also thrown parties for companies including VICE and Ableton, and founded the online mix-tape series and management company Hand Games.

The event will be hosted by Tom Tilley, the host of Triple J’s Hack program who also slaps the bass for Client Liaison and plays disco and house bangers in his DJ sets.

Jump in the Hot Dub Wine Machine at Home Hill Winery in Ranelagh from 1pm on Saturday. Tickets are $79 (plus booking fee) general admission, or $129 for VIP, available from www.iwannaticket.com.au

Buses will also be running from Hobart to Ranelagh and back; see the website for details.

It’s party time

A HOT DUB Wine Machine afterparty will be held upstairs at the Odeon Theatre’s Mez Bar in Liverpool Street, Hobart, from 11.30pm on Saturday, headlined by Luen Jacobs and also featuring sets from Akouo and Finn Whitla. Tickets are $10 at the door.
