Mona blows Margot’s mind

- ALEX LUTTRELL

MONA has won the hearts of tourists all over the world and it seems the same can now be said for Australian film star Margot Robbie.

The former Neighbours actor turned Hollywood star yesterday uploaded a photo to Instagram and Twitter of her at Mona with the caption: “Mind. Blown.”

Robbie has 14 million Instagram followers and the post has been liked about 340,000 times, with some of her one million Twitter followers also retweeting the post.

Tourism Industry Council of Tasmania chief Luke Martin also retweeted the photo, while Tasmanian musical theatre star John X commented saying: “Thanks for popping in @MargotRobbie, more power to you!”

It is believed Robbie also had dinner at The Glass House in Brooke Street Pier on Tuesday night after enjoying lunch at Cambridge vineyard Frogmore Creek with friends, her crew and production team.

It is understood Robbie, 27, is in Hobart as part of a location scouting mission for film sets.

The actor has recently stepped into producing films she has played a part in, including last year’s I, Tonya as well as Terminal, for release in May, and Dreamland (post production).

Hollywood studios are looking to Tasmania as the site for major projects.

In the past Robbie has taken to the screen with the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio in Wolf of Wall Street as well as Will Smith in Suicide Squad and Focus. Other films on her resume include the Legend of Tarzan and recently Peter Rabbit.
