Same old winners
THE proposal for Rosny Hill is another case of more public spaces given over to private developers. The proponent and the council would do the state a bigger favour if they came up with a new housing development that might benefit a lot more people as well as ratepayers.
No surprise
THERE is one certainty in politics, that there are no certainties. The howls of derision from Eric Abetz’s acolytes regarding Sue Hickey’s elevation to the position of Speaker demonstrates how out of touch they are with realpolitik. Bugger convention. Sue Hickey had every right to accept the nomination. She made it clear she had no truck with the extreme Right of the Liberal Party, well before she was preselected.
True colours
WHAT a sneaky piece of work by Rebecca White and her partners, the Greens, to back Sue Hickey as Speaker. She has shown her true colours to the people of Tasmania by trying to derail the Hodgman Government and its recordbreaking economy. Tasmania’s future is now in Hickey’s hands. She must stand down and put Tasmania first.
Wrecker
