Yesterday morning at Government House, the Governor of Tasmania, Professor the Honourable Kate Warner, received the Clerk of the Executive Council. Later at Sandy Bay, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Warner, delivered an address to officially open a new Cancer Support Centre on behalf of the Cancer Council Tasmania. Later at Wrest Point, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Warner, delivered an address to welcome members attending the 2018 Sweet Adelines Regional Chorus and Quartet competition. In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor and Mr Warner hosted an investiture for recipients of Order of Australia honours which were announced in the 2018 Australia Day Honours list.
