Yesterday morning at Government House, the Governor of Tasmania, Professor the Honourable Kate Warner, received the Clerk of the Executive Council. Later at Sandy Bay, the Governor, accompanie­d by Mr Warner, delivered an address to officially open a new Cancer Support Centre on behalf of the Cancer Council Tasmania. Later at Wrest Point, the Governor, accompanie­d by Mr Warner, delivered an address to welcome members attending the 2018 Sweet Adelines Regional Chorus and Quartet competitio­n. In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor and Mr Warner hosted an investitur­e for recipients of Order of Australia honours which were announced in the 2018 Australia Day Honours list.
