Rosehaven returns for some laughs

- SHAUN McMANUS

THE first table reading for the third season of hit comedy series Rosehaven has drawn laughs aplenty ahead of the start of filming this month.

Shot entirely in the state and starring Tasmanian Luke McGregor and Celia Pacquola,

Rosehaven premiered in 2016 and has become one of ABC TV’s top-rating shows.

The third season will be filmed over seven weeks from June 18 at locations including Oatlands, Geeveston, New Norfolk, Longley, Richmond, Seven Mile Beach, Mountain River, Brighton and Chigwell.

The first table reading for the season was held in Hobart yesterday, with Pacquola and McGregor reprising their roles as best friends and real estate agents Emma and Daniel.

McGregor is happy to be back working in his home state.

“It feels like the film industry in Tassie is growing,” McGregor said.

“If you want to bring a production down here there are good people around.”

Pacquola has high hopes

for the third season of Rosehaven.

“The support from Tasmania has been really wonderful and to be able to come back and increase our family, people returning from the last two seasons and the new people coming on board is wonderful,” Pacquola said.

The State Government, through Screen Tasmania, committed $500,000 towards a third season.

“It’s wonderful to see so much Tasmanian content and skill,” said Premier Will Hodgman at the reading.
