It’s time to speak up about the world

- Peter Turner Sandy Bay Edwin Morris Brooks Bay

THERE are many critical issues that need addressing in our society today that have grown into ugly problems because most of us succumb to the peer pressure of the “she’ll be right” syndrome. Well, she’s not right.

Although all issues need to be attended to by responsible people getting together, the increased use of artificial intelligence, particularly micro drones, needs to be addressed immediately.

An example being the acceptance of cowardice to enact anonymous, remotecontrol killing, through missiles, drones and micro drones, is something once seen in horror science fiction movies.

Surely the time has come whereby we must cease to be silent because of our love for one another, our love for our nation and our love of seeing justice rule over injustice, honesty over dishonesty and responsibility over irresponsibility.

Freedom over tyranny, kindness over bitterness, cleanliness over filthiness, truth over lies, and peace over war.

The time has come for us to look into the past and learn from history the way citizens have been manipulated. Then we will see similar methodology being used, showing how small numbers of radically minded people can destroy the virtuous ways of the average citizen, when we the people, also using cowardice as an excuse, remain silent.
