EMMANUEL Christian School’s Kindergarten environment prepares students for an educational journey.
The professional and caring Kindergarten team at Emmanuel Christian School provides a play- and projectbased atmosphere that allows students to settle into what will grow into a transforming fourteen years of schooling.
As a small Kindergarten to Grade 10 school, there is a thorough and well thought out education program, which takes students right though the demands of education and helps them grow into lifelong learners.
Like all schools, the Early Years Learning Framework provides the educational framework for Kindergarten but Emmanuel has enhanced that, using the dynamic ideas from Walker Learning and views everything with a Christian lens.
Amanda Sargent is the experienced Kindergarten teacher and she is ably supported by teacher’s aide Amanda Sutcliffe. The Amanda’s are the dynamic duo for Christian Kindergarten education, as they carefully watch over their growing and energetic fledglings.
The Kindergarten space includes a great classroom area and outside there is a large secure playground and orchard that the kids enjoy. These spaces allow active imaginations to be stimulated and the enjoyment of learning fostered.
The school provides hours of creative fun and physical activities through gardening, a boat, swings, slides, a cubby house, bikes and play equipment.
Kindergarten is followed by the introduction of the Australian Curriculum Foundation Year and the experienced Prep teacher provides an incremental and robust program which builds on the success of Kindergarten.
Due to our increasing reputation in the broader southeast Tasmanian community, this Eastern Shore school is accepting enrolments all through the year. Currently there are vacancies in Kindergarten and Grade 7, along with some other grades that have small classes and would welcome new faces.
