We have a higher incidence of multiple sclerosis in Tasmania. This disease has been linked with air pollution, along with the long lists of other illnesses including cancer. As backyards get smaller and we live closer to our neighbours, these relics from the past need to be replaced by healthier options and the government should help make these alternativ­es cheaper.
