We’ve found your dream home

- JARRAD BEVAN

A WATERSIDE home in Sandy Bay was the sixth most viewed listing in Australia on realestate.com.au last week.

This would come as little surprise to Charlotte Peterswald for Property director, Kim Morgan, who describes the house as “absolutely stunning”.

“There is nothing on the market like this house,” Mr Morgan said.

Privately positioned away from the main drag, 886 Sandy Bay Rd was designed by local architect Paul Gilby and built by Blythe & Watchorn.

The home overflows with impressive features. The deck feels like it sits out over the river and the expansive windows draw the water and garden views indoors.

There is a gourmet kitchen and an expansive lounge with indoor-outdoor entertainment options, Jetmaster fire and a curved wall with bespoke cabinets, bookshelves and skylights. The owners are selling to downsize to their current property needs.

The home, built in the early 2000s, will be sold by “expressions of interest”.

The latest figures from CoreLogic show 144 houses and 95 units were sold in Sandy Bay in the 12 months through to the end of May.

In that time the house and unit median prices grew by about 7 per cent each.

Compared to median prices three years ago, Sandy Bay house values have grown by almost 39 per cent.
