No murder charge plea
BODY FIND: Accused appear in court
A LAUNCESTON man has appeared in the Launceston Magistrates Court over the alleged murder of Jake Anderson-Brettner.
Jack-Harrison Vincent Sadler, 26, of Dion Crescent, Riverside, is charged with the murder of Mr Anderson-Brettner on August 15.
He appeared in court yesterday but did not enter a plea and was remanded in custody to reappear on September 11.
In a separate appearance, Gemma Elizabeth Clark, 25, of Dion Crescent, pleaded not guilty to a charge of being an accessory after the fact of murder. Police allege she became an accessory after the fact between August 15 and 16.
Ms Clark made no application for bail and was ordered to reappear in the Supreme Court of Tasmania on October 15. The courtroom was packed with friends and family of Mr Anderson-Brettner.
Senior police, including Commander Brett Smith and members of the investigation team including Detective acting Inspector Craig Fox, were also in the court.
Mr Sadler, dressed in black pants and a black T-shirt, did not speak during the brief appearance.
Mr Anderson-Brettner, pictured, went missing on August 15. He was last seen in his black Nissan Navara in the Riverside area.
Mr Sadler and Ms Clark were taken into custody on Saturday.
Mr Anderson-Brettner’s body was found on Sunday off the Tasman Highway near Targa.
