Yesterday morning at the Peter Underwood Centre, Hobart, the Governor of Tasmania, Professor Kate Warner, addressed participan­ts attending a linking session for the 2018 Tasmanian Leaders Program. Later at Government House, the Governor received the Clerk of the Executive Council. Later, the Governor received the President and Clerk of the Legislativ­e Council who presented Bills for the Royal Assent. In the afternoon at the Hotel Grand Chancellor, the Governor, accompanie­d by Mr Warner, officially opened the 2018 Rotary Australia New Zealand Conference. Later at Government House, the Governor and Mr Warner hosted an investitur­e ceremony for recipients of honours which were announced in the 2018 Queen’s Birthday Honours List. In the evening at the Theatre Royal, the Governor and Mr Warner attended a performanc­e of Madame Butterfly by Opera Australia.
