It’s a cat-tastic way to help

- JACK PAYNTER

SHOWGOERS ‘feline’ like making a difference to help care for unwanted cats can buy one of these Ten Lives show bags.

It could be the cutest show bag at this year’s Royal Hobart Show — but unfortunately the kittens aren’t included.

The Ten Lives Cat Centre show bags with $50 worth of contents will be available for $10 this week.

The bags include cat food, cat toys, discount vouchers and worming and flea treatments, and a big bag of kitty litter.

Ten Lives manager Noel Hunt said the $10 donation would go directly to the centre to deliver much-needed services as the kitten season begins.

“We are a not-for-profit organisation which cares for and rehomes around 3000 cats and kittens each year,” he said.

“The $10 per show bag will raise vital funds for Ten Lives so we can continue to do the work we do.”

Mr Hunt said the brands Hills, Catmate, Petface, Prestige Pets, Virbac, Zoetis and Cenvet had donated the products to enable the fundraising push.

“It’s an old-fashioned concept of delivering value in a show bag — $10 to buy, $50 worth of contents,” he said.

Other show bags on offer at this year’s show include the classics of Spider-Man, Batman, Jurassic World and Disney’s Frozen. My Little Pony, Ninja and a slimey fun bag are also available from Cartoon Collection.

The 2018 Royal Hobart Show starts tomorrow.
