Turnovers hell for Ben

-

BEN Simmons has had a career-worst 11 turnovers as the Philadelphia 76ers crashed to a 129-112 NBA loss to the redhot Toronto Raptors yesterday.

The Australian guard narrowly missed out on a triple-double, finishing with 11 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds.

But Simmons’ tally of 11 turnovers — including seven in the first half — was four more than he had previously given up in any single game.

After being rested in Monday’s first loss of the season to Milwaukee, superstar recruit Kawhi Leonard had 31 points for the Raptors. Kyle Lowry had 20 points and 13 assists for Toronto, extending his streak of double-digit assist games to a career-best six.

Joel Embiid scored 31 points for the 76ers.

In other action, Kyrie Irving had a game-high 31 points as Boston held on for a 108-105 home win against Detroit.

Australian centre Aron Baynes chipped in with nine points and five rebounds in 12 minutes for the Celtics.

Guard Rodney Hood scored a seasonhigh 26 points to help the Cleveland Cavaliers earn their first win in seven games this season, 136-114 over the visiting Atlanta Hawks.

Sacramento Kings won for the fourth straight game when they overcame the Orlando Magic 107-99 on the road.

Buddy Hield led the Kings with a season-high 25 points.

Tony Parker had 24 points and 11 assists to lead a big night from Charlotte’s bench as the Hornets beat the Miami Heat 125-113.
