Poor cop the blame for their poverty
POVERTY is a social problem, and governments are active participants in creating the social conditions that produce poverty.
Legislation is designed to promote and protect a system of exploitation that favours the wealthy and influential minority.
Blaming the poor for their poverty is guilt projection, and an attempt to divert attention from the Governments’ fail- ings to the supposed inadequacies of the individual.
Governments are not even-handed. If you are wealthy, the government will give you more, or allow you to take more.
If you are poor, the government will make you account for every dollar you receive. The Centrelink robo-cop is designed to prevent any possibility for the intrusion of human compassion.
Even those with jobs are allowed to be ripped-off by private landlords profiteering from the artificially created housing scarcity that goes back decades.
If things are bad now, how will governments respond to the massive social crises of poverty, homelessness and unemployment brought on by a sudden break in the petroleum supply chain?
