Pedestrian stable after hit by truck

A WOMAN has been flown to the Royal Hobart Hospital after being hit by a truck as she crossed a road in Burnie.

The 56-year-old was in a serious but stable condition.

Police said the woman was walking across the junction of Cattley and Wilson streets in Burnie’s CBD about 9am yesterday when she was struck by a truck turning right.
