DON’T weep John Hunter (Letters, February 8). You just have to keep in mind that there’s a long-establishe­d protocol when it comes to dealing with climate change. You can talk about it all you like during the ever-diminishin­g periods where its effects are not apparent, but don’t dare speak its name at any other time.

PRIME Minister Scott Morrison labelled the banking Royal Commission “a lawyers' picnic”, “a populist whinge”, voted against it 26 times and at an overdue news conference onsong blames Labor.
