Respect and scores

THERE is no doubt Smith and Warner are class batsmen, however they need to earn their spot in the team for the Ashes series this year in England. Due to sandpapergate they lost respect in the cricket community and the community in general in Australia and worldwide. There is so much speculation they will both slot back into the team but at the expense of whom? Since their ban, neither have done much in the games they have played and any decent scores they have scored have been against second-string teams. They are both getting over injuries. They should not get back in the Australian Test team just on reputation; they should get back in on respect, performance and scores.
