Buttler, Stokes fire

JOS Buttler and Ben Stokes were unbeaten on halfcenturies with England wearing down the West Indies to be a healthy 4-231 at stumps on the first day of their third cricket Test at Gros Islet. England has already lost the series 2-0, but finally dug in against a bowling attack minus captain Jason Holder, who was banned from the Test for his team’s slow over-rate in the three-day second Test in Antigua. Holder’s replacement Keemo Paul removed both openers and was the only bowler with two wickets.
