Mick quick to have a laugh
MICK Meredith, the guitar-wielding veteran of Australia’s comedy scene, is set to headline Jokers Comedy Club in Hobart this weekend.
Over the past 20 years, the musical comedian has performed around Australia and abroad and appeared on film, TV and radio, including The Footy Show, Mornings with Kerri Ann and Thursday Night Live.
Meredith’s catchy and comical tunes can have audiences singing along one moment and breathless with laughter the next.
He has performed for the Australian armed forces and Federal Police in East Timor and Cyprus.
During a gig in Egypt, Meredith had an audience made up of 25 nationalities laughing along.
As well as a career in pub, club and corporate gigs, Meredith has also produced his own albums and podcasts and is a regular and popular fixture on the cruise ship circuit.
Mick Meredith will headline Jokers Comedy Club at the Polish Corner, New Town, on Wednesday. He will be joined by Sally Rose McShane, Daryl Peebles and MC Gavin Baskerville.
The doors and bar open at 7.30pm and the show starts at 8pm.
