Gifted Awareness Week 2019
Elizabeth College, Hobart. Student seminar commencing Saturday March 23, 9am – 4pm. Teacher / Parent seminar commencing Saturday March 23, 4.30pm-6pm. The Tasmanian Association for the Gifted is pleased to announce its key events. The theme for is Belonging and TAG’s key event are seminars Climbing to the Peak: Study Skills Workshop for Students and Supporting Students’ Study Practice for teachers and parents of students of all ages, to be delivered in Hobart by the nationally respected Michele Juratowitch on 23rd March.
The seminar Climbing to the Peak: Study Skills Workshop for Students is specifically designed to teach high ability students in grades 9-12 study skills that help students to use their time and abilities efficiently. Supporting Students’ Study Practice, for teachers and parents of students of all ages, will explore research, identify critical skill development, consider habit formation and examine study practices to identify the ways in which parents and teachers can encourage and support high ability students to adopt habits that optimize academic achievements and increase opportunities for the future.
