House at Pontville has announced details of its sixth annual weekend classical music festival, which will be held early next year.

The concert, which will be held on the weekend of March 7-8, will feature the major works of Beethoven’s chamber music repertoire.

Festival favourites Seraphim Trio — pianist Anna Goldsworth­y, violinist Helen Ayres and cellist Tim Nankervis — will be joined by violist Jacqui Cronin and Sydney Symphony Orchestra concertmas­ter Andrew Havoren, who has just returned from a year at Covent Garden in London’s West End.

The event will be compered by Christophe­r Lawrence.

The three concerts on the Saturday (March 7) will include Romance No.1 in G Major Opus 40, Eyeglasses Duo for Viola and Cello, and Piano Sonata No.21 in C Major Opus 53 Waldstein in the morning.

The afternoon concert will feature and Romance No.2 in F Major Opus 50 and Violin Sonata No.9 Opus 47 Kreutzer in the afternoon.

On the program for the evening concert are String Trio in C Minor Opus 9 No.3, Piano Quartet No.3 in C Major WoO 36, and Piano Trio in B Flat Major Opus 97 Archduke.

The fourth concert on the Sunday (March 8) will feature String Quartet in C Major Opus 59 No.3 Razumovsky, and Piano Concerto No.2 in B Flat Major Opus 19 arranged for piano and string quartet.

The weekend festival will also include pre-concert talks, food and wine.
