Roos will rip in

-

THE battle for ladder positions will continue to unfold in Round 18 of the ODFA tomorrow.

After finding themselves outside the top four Triabunna hosts Oatlands and after succumbing to Bothwell last week, despite having more scoring shots, the Roos are aiming to again upset Oatlands and reclaim fourth spot.

Jarrod Kaye and Jayden Kelly were shining lights for the Roos last week and they will need to again gather plenty of the ball.

Oatlands were exposed in the previous encounter between the sides after losing key players to injury and coach Josh Kelly is looking for a fourquarter effort from his team.

The high-flying Bothwell travels to Mt Pleasant where it will be aiming for its first victory at the ground since 2016.

Every game is effectively an elimination final for the Rabbits at this stage of the season and they need to win at least two of their remaining three to give the club the best shot at playing finals.

Last week’s victory kept Bothwell’s season alive and in doing so narrowed the percentage difference and it is hoping to remain a game clear of the Roos by upsetting the Mounties. Mt Pleasant needs to keep winning to secure top spot and should it drop this game it will put a major dent in its home final aspirations.

Campbell Town hosts Swansea in the final game and while these two teams will not be participating in finals this match provides an opportunity for the teams to get plenty of hands on the footy. Swansea’s Nicholas Clark forward of centre and captain Andrew Press at centre half-forward are expected to move the ball quickly. Toby Laycock and Bayley McCarthy are in for the Robins.

Campania has the bye. All games start at 1.30pm.
