Demons aiming to keep hot form going

- ADAM SMITH

FRESH from bringing down the hottest team in the TSL, North Hobart has quickly turned its attention to another mouthwatering clash at the Twin Ovals on Saturday.

The Demons dragged themselves from the bottom of the ladder following their brilliant upset against Launceston and now have the Tigers firmly in their sights.

Coach Richard Robinson took exception to comments from the Tigers camp following their last clash, which suggested the Demons had treated that clash as their grand final. “There is a rivalry between us and the Tigers and as I said after the game [against Launceston] we look forward to playing the Tigers down there,” Robinson said.

“It will be a very spirited contest.

“We spoke about it after the game on Saturday, we are going to build it up and I think Trent [Baumeler] should as well.

“We should look forward to it, North Hobart hasn’t had that many games in the last two years that there has been that much interest in because of how we have been going.

“We know we are building and improving, we can’t wait for this week.”

Robinson is also confident there will be no let down from his playing group following the performance against the Blues.

“In the rooms after the game everyone was very happy but they were very mindful it was only one game. We need to keep developing these behaviours so this sort of form becomes consistent.

“As a coach we have to make sure the leaders are well aware of the task ahead.”
