The West Indian has been a consistent performer for the Hurricanes in the past, having led the wicket taking in the WBBL02 and the run scoring in the WBBL03.
SASHA MOLONEY

She also was effective with the bat in Hobart’s lower order, making 20 or more runs five times, helping the Canes finish off their innings.
MEG PHILLIPS
T20 matches: 48 Runs: 103 (HS: 17*) Average: 6.87 S/R: 60.23 Wickets: 22 Average: 23.68 Economy: 7.62 Best bowling: 3-16 Another to have a breakout season in the WBBL04, Phillips averaged a wicket a game in her 12 matches with an impressive strike rate, taking a wicket every 16 balls. The 23-year-old will be looking to put in another strong season in the WBBL05.
EMILY SMITH
T20 matches: 65 Runs: 23 (HS: 6*) Average: 5.75 S/R: 46.94 Catches: 6 Stumpings: 9 Smith returns to Hobart having spent the last three seasons with the Perth Scorchers. The wicketkeeper played for the Hurricanes in the WBBL’s first season and looks likely to once again don the gloves.
CHLOE TRYON
T20 matches: 67 Runs: 914 (HS: 60*) Average: 26.11 S/R: 138.27 Wickets: 29 Average: 22.00 Economy: 5.99 Best bowling: 2-4 At only 25, Tryon has already accomplished an impressive international career, playing 126 games for South Africa across the three formats. Her left-arm pace bowling and batting ability will be pivotal to the Hurricanes moving up the ladder in the WBBL05. The all-rounder is an exciting prospect in her first Big Bash.
BELINDA VAKAREWA

TAYLA VLAEMINCK
T20 matches: 6 Runs: 0 (HS: N/A) Average: N/A S/R: N/A Wickets: 4 Average: 28.25 Economy: 8.17 Best bowling: 4-29 Another promising bowling talent who has played for Australia, Vlaeminck will also be looked upon to develop her game and become a consistent performer for Hobart having jumped ship from the Melbourne Renegades.
FRAN WILSON
T20 matches: 105 Runs: 2166 (HS: 99) Average: 30.94 S/R: 93.82 The English batter will bring international experience with her to the Hurricanes in her first season of the Big Bash, having played 14 T20Is, 27 ODIs and a test for England. Hobart will be hoping the international signing can have an impact in purple.
