THE opening of South Australian borders has excited Sheralee Davies who “can’t wait” to return to her home state to visit family and friends. “I’m really looking forward to catching up with mum and all my family,” she said. Ms Davies, who is the Wine Tasmania chief executive, said she was also looking forward to seeing the benefits of the eventual lifting of border restrictio­ns in Tasmania. “From a personal perspectiv­e, while recognisin­g public health needs to be relied on, I’m very excited for our borders to reopen,” she said.

NORTHERN TASMANIA

If you’re heading North, a number of hotels have some special offers for Tassie travellers. The Hotel Grand Chancellor Launceston is offering upgraded parking, late checkout, WiFi,

and breakfast for up to two adults and two children for $138 per night. Peppers Seaport and Silo Hotels and the Mantra Charles Hotel are offering a stay two nights and save up to 15 per cent deal.

Leisure Inn Penny Royal is offering 20 per cent off the best available rate, or a winter warm-up offer of a queen room for $99 per night or a twobedroom apartment for $159 per night.

WEST COAST
