Rosehaven will return following this break

- LINDA SMITH

A PIG sneezed into the mouth of actor Luke McGregor while filming season three of Rosehaven, so he’s pleased filming of season four ran smoothly.

The new season of the hit Australian comedy, filmed entirely in Tasmania late last year, will screen on ABC and iview next month.

The eight new episodes will take viewers inside the high stakes world of the regional property business, with drama and intrigue that includes the arrival of competition for McCallum Real Estate.

And, if fans need proof that the new season is better than its predecessors, McGregor said he could happily provide evidence.

“Whilst filming season three of Rosehaven, a pig sneezed in my mouth,” he said. “That didn’t happen once filming season four and I have only happy memories of it.”

Meanwhile, co-star Celia Pacquola said Rosehaven was the antidote everyone needed in 2020.

“Luke and I have aged terribly, but this is our stupidest season yet and I can’t wait for people to see it,” she said.

Other actors returning this season include Sam Cotton (Diary of an Uber Driver) as town bully Bruce, Noela Foxcroft as octogenarian receptionist Mrs Marsh, Katie Robertson (Five Bedrooms) as town GP Grace, Kim Knuckey as Sergeant Greg, David Quirk (Please Like Me) as locksmith Damien, Anthony Morgan as town crank Phil, Mick Davies as Maddrick and Susie Youssef (The Project) as op shop owner Gez.

Rosehaven, season four, starts on Wednesday, July 8 at 9pm on ABC & ABC iview.
