Make test compulsory

COVID-19 testing should be made compulsory to give authorities a free hand to fight the virus. Our aim should be to eliminate COVID-19, and to do that we need to use all the weapons in our armoury.

It will be impossible to defeat COVID-19 unless we know who has been infected, and we cannot do that unless we can test everyone. People are not able to refuse a breathalyser test and are required to wear a seatbelt. Compulsory COVID testing is no different. The economic cost of COVID-19 is massive, so people should be prepared to endure a small level of inconvenience or discomfort in order to safeguard the entire community.
