Health for wealth

I AGREE with readers Lyn and George Smith about the risk of weighing up opening up too soon (Letters, July 10) and therefore putting Tasmania at risk of contagion with the end result being a second shutdown, which will definitely hurt our small business operators.

I guess it comes to a choice between health and wealth. If the Government chooses wealth, then health may suffer which will then lead to wealth collapsing. Choose health, and in time wealth will gradually return. Remember business post-COVID will be nothing like business pre-COVID. Those days are gone. By choosing health we have a better chance of a long-term business recovery. Be patient. I know what I would choose.
