Seymour back to bolster the Blues

- DANIEL WEBB Daniel Webb is on work placement from the University of Tasmania

FOUR games, four wins and no worries so far this season for Launceston, and things are about to get better.

The Blues will welcome back 2019 best and fairest winner Fletcher Seymour for their clash against North Hobart in the TSL on Saturday and will look to pile the pressure on to the young side.

Fletcher returns from injury after a two-week break and is keen to get back to playing as his side prepares to battle a strong Demons team at North Hobart oval.

“I had rolled my ankle at training a couple of weeks ago, close to coming back last week, but obviously back today,” he said.

Seymour will aim to be back doing what he normally does, winning the ball through the middle and potentially scoring some goals.

With a strong midfield and a smaller ground, Launceston may prove to be dominant in the middle of the park, however Seymour believed North Hobart knew the ground’s strengths.

“It’s a fast deck, and they are a fast team who can play it well,” he said.

Sitting on top of the ladder with four wins from four games, Launceston will travel to North Hobart as favourite, however the home side cannot be ruled out.

North sits in second on the table, and after a week off with the bye, will be raring to go against the ladder leader.

“It will be a ripping contest,” Seymour said.

“I’m expecting a fierce contest and hopefully we can get on top.”

Launceston travel down the Midlands to North Hobart Oval to take on the Demons at 2pm today.
