Look out for bus stop changes

-

PASSENGERS have been asked to familiarise themselves with changed bus stops at the soon to reopen Elizabeth Street bus mall.

A new bus stop numbering system, new seating and shelters, improved timetable information and new wayfinder signage will launch from October 11.

Stops E, F and J have been relabelled A1, A2 and A3 on the post office side of the mall, with stops D and C now named B1 on the Metro Shop side.

Stop M has become C1 on the corner of Macquarie St while stops N and P at Franklin Square on Macquarie St will be named D1 and D2.

A1 and A2 will be the new Turn Up and Go and Express services for the north, while A3 will visit the Eastern Shore.

Florence Heights, Lenah Valley and Springfield passengers can ride from B1.

C1 will take passengers to Goodwood, Lutana, Howrah Heights, Rosny Point, Mornington/Warrane and Seven Mile Beach via Cambridge.

D1 and D2 will cover southern routes and regional services to the Channel and Huon Valley. The D4 stop outside Town Hall in Elizabeth Street will run regional services to Tasman Peninsula, Sorell, Richmond and East Coast.

A team will operate in the bus mall’s first week to help people find their stops.

Brochures, timetables and service details will be available from the Metro Shop, on impacted buses and in the interchange.
