AUSTRALIA is one nation, so why don’t we have just one flag? I understand that the small flag in the top left corner represents our origins. If that is correct, it seems appropriate to replace the Union Jack with the Aboriginal flag in order to reflect the real origins of Australia.

NOW that the government has agreed to more than double the university course fees for subjects in the humanities, there would be a good case to double the fees of the lecturers and tutors in these areas.

I AM amazed that Peter Gutwein slashed health funding by $ 50m and then gave $ 70m for a basketball stadium redevelopment. And now he is talking about an AFL team for Tasmania when the state is broke. He’d better be praying when the borders open.

SALAMANCA WASTE

ONCE again HCC is screaming poverty. How many millions of dollars have been wasted on socalled improvements to Salamanca Place. All it has caused is a traffic system waiting for a disaster to happen. And a pedestrian crossing immediately on a roundabout, really.
