Bay has all the answers against the Borough

ONCE short- priced premiershi­p favourite, Kingboroug­h has lost three of its last four games, this time falling to Sandy Bay by nine shots in the game of the round in the Derwent Eye Specialist­s Bowls Tasmania South’s Premier Division on Saturday.

Keghan Booth defeated Will Coad by 11 shots. Scores were level after 12 ends before Booth scored seven shots on the 13th end and followed it up with a five two ends later to break the game open.

Andrew Norris trailed Ryan Guy by six shots after nine ends but finished strongly, winning all but one of the last six ends to win by five shots.

Bryce Guy raced to an eight- shot lead against Jason Fowler before Fowler rallied to lead by three shots after 16 ends. Guy steadied, winning four of the last five ends to win by three shots. Jarod Long kept Kingboroug­h in the game, leading all day to defeat Ryan McCoull by 10 shots.

Beltana finished strongly to defeat New Norfolk by 22 shots. Steve Midson turned the game in favour of Beltana when he defeated Mitch Banks by eight shots.

Nick Courto defeated Anthony Briggs by eight shots, Mick Coppleman beat Barry Bone by four shots and Shawn Leitch finished two shots in front of Kerry Hill.

Glenorchy Rodman had a resounding 40- shot win over Cremorne, winning on all rinks and Rosny Park recorded a solid 15- shot win over Dover RSL.

Buckingham had to work hard to defeat a determined Brighton by three shots. Todd Oakley set up the win for Buckingham, defeating Greg Fehlberg by 12 shots.
