-

6. BBL05 GRAND FINAL

Stars 9-176 def by Thunder 7-181 (19.3 overs) at the MCG Cricket Australia allowed Usman Khawaja to play for the Thunder but kept Glenn Maxwell, James Faulkner, Scott Boland and John Hastings in its ODI camp, and the owners of three wooden spoons and a 19-game losing streak lifted the trophy.

7. BBL07 SEMI-FINAL

Strikers 5-178 def Renegades 4-177 by one run at Adelaide Oval Australia released Travis Head (85 not out off 57) but not Aaron Finch for this semi-final, but the Renegades appeared to have the run chase under control when they needed 43 off 33. Needing two from Ben Laughlin’s last delivery to force a Super Over, Kieron Pollard couldn’t get bat on ball.

8. BBL08 SEMI-FINAL

Sixers 3-180 def by Renegades 7-184 (19.5 overs) at Marvel Stadium

When Aaron Finch was bowled playing a switchhit, Dan Christian and Cameron Boyce needed 48 runs from 26 balls. But three Christian sixes helped the Renegades chase down a huge total.

9. BBL02 SEMI-FINAL

Heat 3-182 def Renegades 9-168 by 14 runs at Marvel Stadium Muttiah Muralitharan’s Renegades had lost just one game in a dominant home-and-away season, but Luke Pomersbach thumped 112 not out off 70 balls and Chris Lynn took two wickets.

10. BBL07 SEMI-FINAL

Hurricanes 4-210 def Scorchers 139 (17.5 overs) by 71 runs at Perth Stadium. Matthew Wade (71 off 45) crashed the opening party of Perth’s new stadium as another minor premier failed at the first hurdle. When Hobart suffered the same fate 12 months later — making it six out of eight top teams to lose a home semi-final — the double chance was brought in.
