I WANT to express my huge disappoint­ment at the paltry $3.50 increase to the Jobseeker allowance. Given Australia has enjoyed years of economic growth and the federal government can afford tax cuts for middleand higher-income earners, it is miserable and punitive that the unemployed should be treated this way.
