Sydney’s Manenti eyes Tigers spot

SYDNEY Sixers spinner Ben Manenti has been included in Cricket Tasmania’s Premier Academy squad as the hunt begins for the next batch of Tigers.

Manenti has moved to Hobart to play CTPL with New Town and push for Tigers selection.

The academies have been split into two streams, with an open age Premier Academy group in the south and a Pathway Academy across the state for talented players aged between 15 and 18.

These programs will start in July and August, with the aim to prepare identified young talent to perform for their respective Premier Cricket clubs, as well as forming part of the process for selection to represent Tasmania at the under-17 and under-19 National Cricket Championsh­ips.
