No Limit signs exclusive deal with Foxtel

- JAMIE PANDARAM

TIM Tszyu and a host of Australia’s best boxers will feature exclusively on Fox Sports and Kayo after promoters No Limit Boxing secured a revolutionary multi-year deal with the broadcaster.

In a first for boxing and the Foxtel Group, No Limit will be the sole provider of boxing shows to the network on their Fox Sports, Kayo and Main Event platforms.

It’s understood that under the terms of the new exclusive deal, any rival promoters who wish to broadcast on Foxtel Group’s platforms would need the approval of No Limit.

No Limit is run by brothers Matt, George and Trent Rose,

and they’ve secured an enviable roster that includes Tszyu and his brother Nikita, Olympic medallist Harry Garside, Australian light-heavyweight champion Paulo Aokuso, and world title contenders Liam Wilson and Sam Goodman.

“Massive shout out to the Foxtel Group and No Limit for this collaboration, for this exclusive partnership,” Tszyu said from Los Angeles, where he is in camp ahead of his undisputed super-welterweight title fight against Jermell Charlo on January 29 in Las Vegas.

“It’s been a lot of hard work for the No Limit boys in the last couple of years, but you’ve definitely proved that you are the leaders of boxing in Australia with your shows and the talent that you’re bringing across.

“And for the Foxtel Group, congratulations on this partnership … you are the leading guys in sports in Australia.”

Foxtel Group boss Patrick Delany said: “The opportunity to partner with No Limit Boxing exclusively will take boxing to the next level after a recordbreaking year for Main Event.”
