PUNTERS will be all over this rematch of last year’s NFL AFC title game.

But with Kansas City’s superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes banged up with a high-ankle sprain, can the Chiefs exact some revenge on Cincinnati after last year’s loss?

THE IMPACT OF A HOBBLED MAHOMES

MAHOMES fought to get back on the field last week, but that was against Jacksonville.

The Bengals defence is a different beast, and has a blueprint to limit Mahomes when he’s NOT dealing with a brutal ankle injury.

Most importantly, the Cincy defence has had great success against tight ends, allowing only three TDs to opposing tight ends all season.

If Mahomes isn’t able to initially utilise his Travis Kelce safety blanket, the Chiefs will look to the run game and try to grind the Bengals defence down, with Isiah Pacheco to free up Mahomes and Kelce a bit later in the game.

EVEN with a patchwork offensive line, Joe Burrow was only sacked once last week in Buffalo.

The Chiefs’ key to winning this game will be to pressure the Cincy QB.

And with a defence that produced 55 sacks this season, it has a pretty good chance to do just that.

Look for Burrow to get the ball out quick to his excellent receivers - Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd and open up the game.
