Easy way to save $600

I am so excited that I just have to share. First, I was late paying my credit card with the big Christmas spend on it. Rather than being slugged a healthy interest payment, I called up cap in hand and – surprise! – the bank wiped it all without question.

Inspired, I jumped on the computer and ordered an OVO SIM card and look forward

to the big savings from swapping phone providers (thanks for the tip, Money).

Inspired even further by two big money saves, I went on to the Victorian Energy Compare website to compare my electricity plan and within 15 minutes, including time to sign up on the phone, I had a much cheaper plan with a lower peak/off-peak rate and amazing early payment discount. I encourage all Victorian readers to jump on the website – it is government run and unbiased.

When factoring in these three easy measures, I have saved $600 easily. Not bad for about an hour’s work!
