World’s Greatest Shave
What is it? Help beat blood cancer by partaking in one of the nation’s biggest charity events, the World’s Greatest Shave.
Since 1998, the greatest shave campaign has raised over $200 million to help support people living with blood cancer. Get sponsored by friends and family to shave, colour or wax away the hair on your head, chest or face. Sign up on your own or as part of a team. Once you’ve registered, you can create your own online campaign via the Greatest Shave’s website or iPhone app. Where your money goes: More than 12,000 Australians will develop leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma this year. This year, the World’s Greatest Shave aims to raise $17 million for the Leukaemia Foundation, to help fund cancer research and free support for patients and families. 15% of funds raised goes towards administration costs.
How to donate: There are shave events happening all over Australia that you can participate in. To donate, host an event, volunteer at an event or register for the shave, see worldsgreatestshave.com.
