Developed with input from Fabien Barel and tested by Tahnée Seagrave, the SMD2 is a minimal but robust saddle for downhill riding. Its narrow width should make it easy to shift position on the bike, while its flat profile gives maximum rear tyre clearance. An anti-slip pad on top provides traction for seated pedalling – and supercross-style foot-out drifts! This Comp version sits in the middle of the range. Like the base model it has chromoly steel rails, but a carbon composite shell keeps weight down to a reasonable 200g.
