BikePark Wales is the UK’s first full-scale mountain bike park, with 29 gravity-fed trails that you don’t need a downhill bike to enjoy. The runs vary from green to black and have been built in sections down the hillside, so you can link them together in various combos. If you want to pedal up via the singletrack or fireroad, entry costs just £6, or for £34 you can get driven to the top all day. There’s a number of fresh trails to sample this year: ‘Popty-Ping’ is a new blue graded jump line and for experts, a pro jump line has been added to the ‘A470’ and there’s a new black downhill trail called ‘Escort’.
