We ask pro riders for their top places to ride. This month, it’s the turn of the ‘Keswick Kestrel’, the balls-to-the-wall Lake District pinner Adam Brayton

“My number one track to race has to be Mont-Sainte-Anne. It’s straight, flat out and you need guts to go fast there! Garbanzo at Crankworx Whistler would be second. I don’t know why, because it’s probably the worst race you can do in your life. It’s an absolute beast and pummels you! But something just pulls me back every year.”

2 champéry, switzerland

“If I could see the World Cup return to one venue, it’d be the original Champéry track that I raced in 2007. It was nuts! You literally couldn’t go down it slow enough. Until my fourth place at Fort William in 2016, Champéry was my best World Cup result. Somehow, I got sixth – probably because I managed to stay on my bike! The track is a shadow of its former self now, which is a shame.”

“My favourite UK track is the Red Bull Hardline. The track is insane and the atmosphere keeps drawing me back. Hitting jumps that big just makes you feel alive! I like riding at home as well – we’ve got it pretty good in the Lakes. There’s a track I love riding down to the lake, to go fishing, and some of the fells have amazing descents. Some are illegal to ride, so obviously I’d never think of doing that, but when I’m walking down, they look good to ride!”
