MASSIVE MTB FESTIVAL COMING YOUR WAY
All you need to know about this year’s Malvern Classic
One of this year’s most hotly anticipated events – the GT Bicycles Malverns Classic 2018 – is just around the corner. It returns in June, almost 20 years since it was last staged. While those of us old enough to remember that far back have fond memories of the event, this year’s resurrection promises to bring a whole new-style experience for all mountain bikers. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve been riding for years or have only just got into it – the Malverns promises to have something you can either have a bash at or kick back and enjoy watching. That’s why MBUK can’t wait to be there and be part of the weekend with you.
The Malverns will have a relaxed festival vibe, with loads of different events and activities to get involved in, as well as a chance to get up close and meet some of the biggest names in UK mountain biking. But it’s also about chilling out with other riders and soaking up the
atmosphere while listening to a mix of live music and eating the great food you’d expect to find at any big summer festival. The highlight is – and we’re in no way biased about this! – the MBUK Legends race, where some familiar names from the MBUK vaults will be competing for supremacy and, more generally, having a laugh. Taking place from 15 to 17 June, the event is going to be an opportunity to get everyone you know who loves mountain biking, or wants to learn and experience more about it, involved. There’s still time to get weekend tickets and race entry is still open, but places are filling up fast. So don’t hang about – get it booked into your summer schedule, buy your tickets and make sure you pop over to the MBUK stand in June, where we’ll have rider signings, MBUK goodies and loads of cool stuff going on.
