To celebrate our anniversary, we take a look back at some of the defining moments for UK mountain biking over the past three decades

Three decades of MBUK. Wow! Yep, we’ve made it through our terrible toddler years, had our wild, experimental teenage phase and ridden through our adventurous twenties, and here we are at the ripe old age of 30. Who’d have thought we'd still be around, given the hardhitting lifestyle we’ve lived along the way? But we’ve survived. Albeit looking a little more mature on the surface – the gnarly lines of 30 years’ worth of riding beginning to show – but just as youthful inside, like every good mountain biker.

A lot has changed since MBUK's humble beginnings, not only in the look and feel of the mag, but also in the incredible development of bike technology and the growth of the mountain bike scene. It hasn’t been easy condensing three decades' worth of content into these few pages but we’ve given it a damn good shot.
